  • Extend Vehicle Life With Simple Preventative Checks of Auto Repair Shops

To consider the cleaning and exterior maintenance is not enough for better care of a car. To maintain the overall structural integrity, it is mandatory that the attention is paid to each and every part of vehicles. Experts say that maintenance is always better than repairs. One should never ignore the warning signs like noises, pulling or drifting or mysterious problems. Otherwise, these can result in a costly and time taking repair or replacement affairs. According to professional auto repair shop owners and experts in the industry, following some simple preventative tips can save one from expensive repairs and other maintenance issues in car. Even, some studies have proved that the rate of all motor vehicle fatalities can be reduced at large by paying attention to such preventative checks. Presently, the rate of fatalities is increasing by 5% as of neglecting automobile maintenance by vehicle owners. As a matter of fact, the maintenance requirements vary from one to another manufacturer of vehicles. This is why one should always consider the owner manual for individual service schedules. Moreover, the preventative checks that can be considered by vehicle owners are: Regular oil filter change Experts always advice to consult owner's manual for service schedules, but a rule of thumb is to keep a check on the regular change of oil filter. It would be better to acquire assistance of professional car maintenance experts to change the oil filter after every 3000 to 4000 miles. Fluid check Another important measure is to have all fluids checked. Improper fluid in the car can cause the problems like poor gas mileage, hesitation while accelerating and musty odor in the cabin. The fluids concerning brake, transmission, power steering, antifreeze and windshield washer solvent play a significant role in the performance and overall safety of vehicles; thus, these fluids have to be checked regularly. Lighting system Lights and wipers support safe driving. In fact, the chances or risk of accidents increase if you cannot see or can't be seen by other drivers on the roads. Dimming lights, streaking wiper and rapid signal blinking can be considered as the signs to acquire immediate assistance of auto repair shops. In addition, it is mandatory to keep a regular check on the proper functioning of the turn signals, headlights, brake and taillights etc. Have the chassis and air filtration system checked frequently, check battery cables for corrosion, check tire inflation and much more are the components that need monthly check and regular maintenance. It may not take much time to check the proper functioning of these components but is critically important to keep your vehicle dependable and safe on the road longer. #extendvehiclelife #autorepair #bodyshop #fairfield #california #hankdominguez #headlightrestoration #integrityautocollision #solanocounty #vallejo #oscarmoreno #sacramento

  • First Porsche car was built in 1898 and it was recently found in a Shed

The automotive industry sure is beautiful. Specially when we're talking about classic cars. The first Porsche car ever made was built more than a century ago, and it's been missing for several years until now. The called 'Egger-Lohner electric vehicle, C.2 Phaeton model' was found abandoned in a shed in the country of Austria. This vehicle was created by Ferdinand Porsche in 1898. He raced with this car in Berlin and he actually won 1st place. This vehicle is also electric, with up to 50-mile range with a max speed of 22 miles per hour. This was over a century ago folks, this is pretty impressive. The vehicle after that race was placed in this shed, and it has been in there since 1902. The motor of the first Porsche weighed 287 lbs, the total weight was around 3000 lbs, and 1000 lbs of that was just batteries. Now Porsche has moved it to Stuttgart, Germany and it will be available in their museum after a basic restoration. Pretty awesome, don't you think? #porsche #electricvehicle #firstporsche #bodyshop #fidelzavalza #hankdominguez #integrityauto #integrityautocollision #solanocounty #vallejo #headlightrestoration #enespanol #autorepair #autobodyspecialist

  • Check the oil level of your vehicle

It is very important to take care of our vehicle, simply because our life is on risk if our car has not been checked properly. You should check your engine oil leven every time you fill your car with gas. Cars low on oil can become seriously damaged. Here is how you check the oil leven in your car: Open the hood. Find the oil dipstick located underneath the hood, usually toward the front. Pull out the dipstick and clean it off with a rag. Replace it all the way into the chamber and pull it put again. Look at the dipstick. The oil level should fall in between the upper and lower limits. Now, if you do need oil because the level is low, you will need to add more. Check with your car's manufacturer or in the owner's manual for the correct grade of oil. This is very important, every vehicle is different. Here is how to add oil to your car or truck: Locate the oil filler cap. It should be near the dipstick and clearly marked 'oil'. Unscrew the cap and set aside. Carefully pour in a small amount of new oil. You may want to use a funnel. Recheck the oil level using the steps listed earlier. You will want the oil level to fall halfway between the maximum and minimum marks on the dipsticl. If the level is not between the guidelines, repeat steps three and four until it is. You can also check to see if your oil is dirty by spreading some of it (from the dipstick) on a piece of white paper and comparing it to some fresh oil. If your oil looks dirty, it is time to change it. If that's your case, you may need to find an oil change station, the prize is usually pretty affordable and the process is fast. #checkoil #addoil #autocare #integrityautocollision #solanocounty #fairfield #enespanol #bodyshop #autorepair #headlightrestoration #sacramento #california
